This sparkling composition echoes the fascinating symmetry and three dimensional form of the Sand Dollar, an ancient filter feeder that, in fact, spends much of its life buried in shallow coastal sands. We rarely find much more than the beautiful bleached white discs that support them washed up on the shore.
