The early Renaissance genius Filippo Brunelleschi solved the problem of building the dome of the grand cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore in Florence. The sweeping pointed arch of the viewing portal echoes the panels on Brunelleschi's dome, and there is a familiar cupola shaped figure at the heart of this sculptural scope by Marc Tickle. No squinting or peering is required here. The object case merely allows the viewer to shift the shapes within the decorative band around the central image. The glowing interior is the marvel of this scope.
