The Durettes make great scopes. This one is typical of their current line (which has evolved and gotten better and better over the last ten years). It has a lovely warm exterior of wood verneer, brass trim at the eyepiece and object case. This is a two mirror, oil suspension scope, the objects are glass rods, dichoric glass strips, colored beads, and piece of metal filigree that adds special sparkling forms to the images. The results are, well, spectacular!
