All by itself, the fine upholstered look of the barrel's metalwork tells you that this is no ordinary kaleidoscope. The main scope in this dual scope creation is a two mirror system that has for its object case either the jewel encrusted spherical kaleidoscope you see sitting on the turntable, or it can peer at the marble which you can resting on its storage stand.
