Melissa Ayotte
Melissa Ayotte is the daughter of Rick Ayotte, and an accomplished glass artist in her own right.
Though her early studies were in psychology, she apprenticed with her father while finishing her
Masters program at Antioch New England Graduate School. With her M.A., she began a career in psychology
and at the same time continued working in the studio. In the following years working with glass became
less of an escape from her career and more of a serious interest as she began taking glass and art courses.
In 2000 she changed her career to glasswork. While her work is definitely her own, she has followed in her father's
footsteps with her depictions of nature in all its detail.
