David Lotton is a second generation American glassworker who has clearly he's established himself as a careful colorist, technical perfectionist, and someone who brings fresh energy and artistry to all his work. Here's a delightful paperweight that shows off his glassmaking skills that required years and years to perfect. The ultra clear crystal he uses is very unforgiving, but at the same time it is very rewarding for those who can handle it, and for those of us lucky enough to see the results. You'll fall in love with everything about this: the enchanting colors, the crystalline clarity, and the superbly rendered form.

The base has been ground flat and polished. The pontil mark has been ground into a concave facet on the base and left with a matte finish where the weight is signed with David's monogram and the year "2006". There is a silver David Lotton sticker on the weight.
